In July of 2022, the Lord led the Pastor in the quietness of time with HIm to listen, hear and prepare the beginning of wat is now manifested as Acts Christian Temple, Okmlugee, OK. Only the Father, God Almighty knows of the prayers, tears of joy, heart-felt laughter and joyous encourgement that followed that special encounter of direction.

On July 21, 2023 members of the newly formed launched ministry began weekly Friday night prayer. The prayer services were rich with the prophetic and sincere “times of refreshing in an atmosphere for the Lord God to move. The prayer services enlightening and encouraging concluded on Friday, November 24, 2023.

Acts Christian Temple launched and opened its first Worship Celebration on Sunday, November 26, 2023, 11:00 am in the Cherokee Room of the Best Western Hotel, Okmulgee, OK.

The people gathered to worship God consisted of Pastor Roxie Lilley, Minister Marylon Cooper , Ministers Howard and Dagny Darnell, David and Donna Bioarski, Mrs. Julia Weinkauf, Brenda Knight, Kevin Knight, Missionary Donnie Smith, Michelle Mesplay, Frank Treseder, Lou Crofut, Mrs. Geraldine Dunn and Cecelia Geeter.

The message preached was titled, “Upon This Rock I Will Build My Church”. Anointed music was provided by Donnie Smith who led the praise and worship celebration.

The “New Members” orientation concluded in June 2024, with four members. Since then there have been several attending worship services, prayer class and services and heard the Rhema Word of God, fellowshipping with other believers. ACT realizing love was shown, welcome was extended, the Word was received and is not returned void is grateful. Isaiah 55:11, So shall My Word be that goes forth from My mouth, it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

The Pastor, Minister and congregation are “continuing on” in what God has set in place for ACT with doors wide open for those chosen and led to attend, join and serve with us in the community and surrounding area.

ACT ministries and outreach are Prayer Ministry and Sunday services glorifying God in worship. ACT Outreach Ministry is consistent with Holiday Food Bags for families in need. Since the Spring of 2025, an Outreach Ministry began as S.W.A.T. Ministry. SWAT is about “the church” going to the streets, Spreading the Word Across Town, winning Souls for the Lord and bringing unsaved converts out of darkness.

ACT’s other prospective ministry endeavors: Women’s Ministry, Children & Youth Victory Ministry, and an Annual Road Trip Fellowship.

We acquired a large vinyl sign in March 2024 so the location of Acts Christian Temple would be visible from the main highway going through Okmulgee. Our prayers are consistent for ACT to move into a temple dwelling of our own soon.
